Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about your bridal makeup, from your first enquiry to getting ready on your wedding morning.

Your wedding morning should feel relaxed, exciting and completely centred around you. I’m here to make the makeup side of your day feel effortless, while creating a beautiful, polished look that still feels like you.

Below are answers to some of the questions I’m most frequently asked by brides.

Booking & Availability

How far in advance should I book my bridal makeup artist?

I recommend securing your bridal makeup artist as soon as you have your wedding date and venue confirmed. Popular wedding dates, particularly Saturdays during peak season, can book well in advance.

If your wedding is coming up soon, please don't hesitate to enquire — I’ll always do my best to accommodate you if I have availability.

How do I check your availability?

Simply get in touch via my enquiry form with your wedding date, venue and the number of people requiring makeup.

I’ll come back to you with my availability and all the information you need within 48 hours.

How do I secure my wedding date?

Once we’ve confirmed that I’m available and you’re happy to proceed, your date is secured with a booking fee and completed booking agreement.

Your date is not booked until these have been received.

Do you travel to the wedding venue?

Yes. I offer on-location bridal makeup, so I can come directly to your home, hotel, bridal suite or wedding venue.

Travel arrangements and any applicable travel fees will be discussed when you enquire.

Bridal Makeup Trials

Do you offer a bridal makeup trial?

Yes. A bridal trial is a wonderful opportunity for us to meet, talk through your ideas and create your wedding makeup look together.

It also gives you the chance to see how your makeup photographs and, most importantly, how it feels to wear it. Although they are not compulsory, I highly recommend you having a trial to get the best possible results.

When should I have my bridal makeup trial?

Ideally, your trial should take place around 3-4 months before your wedding, although this can vary depending on your circumstances.

If you have a skincare treatment, skin concerns or other plans leading up to your wedding, we can work around these too.

What should I bring to my bridal makeup trial?

It’s helpful to bring inspiration images, photos of your dress and accessories, and any ideas you already have for your makeup.

If possible, come with clean, moisturised skin and avoid trying new skincare products immediately before your appointment.

Can I change my mind about my makeup look?

Of course. Your trial is a collaborative experience, and communication is key.

The goal is to create a look that makes you feel confident, comfortable and completely yourself. If something doesn't feel quite right, we'll adjust it together.

Wedding Day Makeup

How long does bridal makeup take?

I usually allow approximately 1.5 hours for the bride, depending on the desired look and the individual.

I always allow enough time so that your wedding morning doesn't feel rushed. Your final timings will be planned around your ceremony time, photography and the rest of your getting-ready schedule.

How long will my makeup last?

Your bridal makeup will be carefully applied using professional, long-wearing products selected for your skin type and your individual needs.

The aim is for your makeup to look beautiful throughout your ceremony, photographs, celebrations and beyond, while still looking fresh and natural in person.

Do you provide false lashes?

Yes. Lashes can be included as part of your bridal makeup look where appropriate.

We'll discuss the style you prefer during your trial, whether you want something soft and natural or a little more defined.

Can you accommodate sensitive skin?

Absolutely. Please let me know about any allergies, sensitivities or skin concerns when you enquire.

I can tailor product choices to your skin and will always prioritise your comfort and wellbeing.

How should I prepare my skin for my wedding makeup?

Beautiful makeup starts with well-prepared skin.

In the weeks leading up to your wedding, focus on a consistent skincare routine rather than introducing lots of new products. On the morning of your wedding, arrive with clean, moisturised skin unless we've discussed otherwise.

Avoid experimenting with new treatments immediately before the wedding.

Bridal Party & Wedding Guests

Can you do makeup for my bridesmaids and wedding party?

Yes. I can provide makeup for bridesmaids, mothers, family members and other wedding guests.

When you enquire, let me know how many people will require makeup and your getting-ready location so I can advise on timings and whether an additional artist would be beneficial.

Can you accommodate larger bridal parties?

Absolutely. For larger groups, I can arrange additional professional makeup artists where needed, allowing everyone to be ready on time without making the morning feel rushed.

Travel & Destination Weddings

Do you offer destination wedding makeup?

Yes. I’m available for weddings all over the UK and Europe for destination weddings, subject to availability.

If you're planning a wedding abroad, send me your date, location and venue details and I can provide further information regarding travel arrangements.

Are travel costs included?

Travel arrangements depend on your wedding location.

Any applicable travel fees will always be discussed clearly before you book.

Payments & Booking Policies

How much is the booking fee?

A booking fee is required to secure your wedding date. The exact amount and payment schedule will be provided with your bridal booking information.

When is the remaining balance due?

Your remaining balance is due according to the payment terms outlined in your booking agreement.

You'll receive all payment information when your booking is confirmed.

What happens if I need to change my wedding date?

I completely understand that sometimes plans need to change.

If your wedding date changes, please let me know as soon as possible. I'll do my best to transfer your booking to your new date, subject to availability.

What happens if I need to cancel?

My cancellation policy and terms are outlined in your booking agreement. If you need to cancel your booking, please get in touch as soon as possible so we can discuss your options.

Still Have Questions?

If you haven't found the answer you're looking for, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

I'd love to hear about your wedding plans, your makeup vision and what you're looking for from your bridal makeup artist.
